Background of the issue:
The website worked well and everything was well translated. Our client changed the main language from Catalan to Spanish and we lost some translations mainly from the WooCommerce pages and elements. When I go to the String Translation, I look for the strings that now appear not translated and I see them. As soon as I click on edit the translation the translated text 'magically appears' inside the text box without typing it. So I understand that the translations are stored somewhere but until you try to edit the translations they are not retrieved.
Symptoms:
Translations are lost after changing the main language from Catalan to Spanish. Translations reappear when editing the strings in the String Translation section.
Questions:
Is it possible that translations are stored somewhere but not retrieved until edited?
How could I recover all translations without having to do it by hand?
