LiteSpeed Cache - Tools Tab Doesn't Load If LiteSpeed ESI Is Enabled

Overview of the issue

When the LiteSpeed Cache plugin’s Edge Side Includes (ESI) feature is enabled, the WPML Tools tab in Translation Management fails to load. This issue triggers a browser console error:

?wpml-app=ate-widget&ver=4.6.11:5 Uncaught SyntaxError: Invalid or unexpected token (at ?wpml-app=ate-widget&ver=4.6.11:5:3152)

Workaround

Please, make sure of having a full site backup of your site before proceeding.

• Open …/wp-content/plugins/litespeed-cache/src/core.cls.php file.
• Look for line 720.
• Replace:

  1	$this->_footer_comment .= "\n<!-- " . $data . ' -->';

• With:

  1	$this->_footer_comment .= "<!-- " . $data . ' -->';
