Background of the issue:
I am trying to use an ACF taxonomy field in a custom block and duplicate the content in another language with WPML. The ACF group is set up as expert with 'translate option' for specified fields. When I create a taxonomy field in the post (not within the block) and translate it, it works fine.
Symptoms:
The ACF taxonomy field in the custom block appears blank in the duplicated language, even though the terms exist in both languages. Another field (text field) works fine and gets populated correctly.
Questions:
Why does the ACF taxonomy field appear blank in the duplicated language?
How can I ensure the taxonomy field in the block gets populated correctly in the translated language?
