Background of the issue:
I am trying to get WPML to translate a footer widget that is on the appearance>>widgets page. The site is under development.
Symptoms:
I cannot translate the footer widget manually (it is only one phrase) and the widget does not show at all on the translated pages. There is also a 'read more' button I cannot translate.

How can I get WPML to translate a footer widget on the appearance>>widgets page?
