Background of the issue:
I am trying to allow a user with editor-level permissions to edit translations on the site 隐藏链接. The user sees the error message 'You can only edit translations assigned to you' and the button to edit translations is disabled. I have tried adding the user as a 'translation manager', as both 'translation manager' and 'translator', and adding custom code to the functions.php file as provided in the thread https://wpml.org/forums/topic/you-can-only-edit-translations-assigned-to-you-2/#post-15689685.

Symptoms:
The user with editor-level permissions sees the error message 'You can only edit translations assigned to you' and the button to edit translations is disabled.

Questions:
Why is the editor-level user unable to edit translations despite being assigned as a translation manager and translator?
Is there an issue with the custom code provided in the thread https://wpml.org/forums/topic/you-can-only-edit-translations-assigned-to-you-2/#post-15689685?
Are there additional steps required to allow editor-level users to edit translations in WPML?
