Background of the issue:
I am trying to update the WPML plugins on my site.

Symptoms:
The plugins won’t update unless I manually unregister the site and then re-register it first.

Questions:
Why do I need to unregister and re-register the site to update WPML plugins?
Is there a way to update WPML plugins without unregistering the site?
