Background of the issue:
I am trying to resolve an issue with Google Search Console where some pages on my site are not being indexed. I am using Rankmath (free) and WPML for my WordPress site, which has multiple language versions at unicope.com/at/, unicope.com/de/, unicope.com/ch/, unicope.com/en/. I want to know if it's possible to create different sitemaps for each language.
Symptoms:
Search Console has detected that some pages on your site are not being indexed due to 'Duplicate – Google has designated a different page than the user as the canonical page'.
Questions:
Is it possible to create different sitemaps for each language currently at unicope.com/at/, unicope.com/de/, unicope.com/ch/, unicope.com/en/?
How can we prevent pages from not getting indexed?
