Background of the issue:
I am trying to synchronize the footer menu, but it shows links of the old staging website instead of the live website.

Symptoms:
The WP Menus Sync feature is displaying links from the old staging website (www.wietzaden.info) instead of the live website (www.spliffseeds.nl).

Questions:
Why does the WP Menus Sync show links from the old staging website?
How can I update the footer menu to show links from the live website?
