Instead, I got an unwanted icon that doesn't do anything. It also takes a few seconds longer to load than the rest of the icons in the top bar. Background of the issue:

Symptoms:
I expected to see no WPML icon in the top menu. There hasn't been one until the latest update. Instead, I got an unwanted icon that doesn't do anything. It also takes a few seconds longer to load than the rest of the icons in the top bar.
