About Geacom

Organizing a website multilingually doesn’t require a lot of effort: Instead of laboriously exporting segment by segment, sending it by email, and then importing it again, you can simply use WPML. Getting started with Geacom and WPML

To send content for translation to Geacom, install the following plugins on your website:

  • WPML Multilingual CMS – the core plugin
  • WPML String Translation – this plugin will allow you to translate interface strings

You can download them from your wpml.org account. If you do not have an account yet, you can create a new one by choosing WPML Multilingual CMS or Multilingual Agency plans.

Working with Geacom via WPML

Here are the basic steps of working with WPML and Geacom. For a full walkthrough, check out our page about using WPML with a translation service.

Connecting Your Website to Geacom

First, you need to connect WPML with Geacom. Part of this very simple process is to request your Geacom API token.

Contact Geacom at info@geacom.de and request your token.

Sending content for translation

Once your site is connected to Geacom, you can start sending your content for translation.

Receive a quotation from Geacom

Once you have sent your content via WPML, Geacom will provide you with a non-binding quote within a few minutes. After you have placed your order in writing, they will immediately start the translation.

Receiving completed translations

Once done, your site is ready to receive completed translations.

Completed translations are delivered via WPML and appear automatically on your website. You will also be notified by email. Remember to check imported content for visual representation or let Geacom check it for you.

Canceling translation jobs

If you wish to cancel the translation order, please contact Geacom immediately by telephone or email.

Translating the Rest of Your Site

Once you’re done translating the content of your page, there could be untranslated texts in menus, sidebars, and similar places. No problem, you can use Geacom to translate the rest of your site.
