Background of the issue:
I translated my website from Polish to German using WPML. Then I disabled Polish and set German as the default language. I am trying to set the German version as the root domain without the /de prefix.
Symptoms:
WPML still shows all URLs as الرابط المخفي... instead of just الرابط المخفي.... When I try to change the domain for the German language under 'Different domain per language', WPML automatically adds /de/ and does not allow me to save الرابط المخفي as the root. The 'Validate on save' option is also preventing changes.
Questions:
How can I remove the /de prefix from the main domain after switching the default language to German?
Why does WPML automatically add /de/ when I try to set the German language as the root domain?
