Background of the issue:
I am currently translating my website's categories using WPML's taxonomy translation feature. I was advised to do this by support.
Symptoms:
The categories are being created as new categories instead of translating the existing ones. The image does not appear, and the parent-child link between categories is missing. also when I go to the other language and try to move between my translated pages, it switch back to the native language till I go back to the filter and choose the other language.
Questions:
Why are the categories being created as new instead of translating the existing ones?
Why is the image not appearing for the translated categories?
Why is the parent-child link between categories missing after translation?
