Problem:
The client is confused about why they need to assign credits and choose between different translation engines after purchasing WPML, especially when they have had a poor experience with Google Translate in the past.
Solution:
We explained that WPML provides an automatic translation feature that defaults to using DeepL but also supports other engines like Google and Microsoft. This flexibility allows users to select the engine that best fits their needs, considering factors like translation style and supported language pairs. If a chosen engine doesn't support a specific language pair, WPML will automatically switch to an alternative engine that does.
To change the translation engine in WPML, you can follow the instructions here: How to Change Translation Engines in WPML.
If this solution does not apply to your case, or if it seems outdated, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. Should you need further assistance, please open a new support ticket at WPML support forum.
