Problem: The client was experiencing an issue with Elementor's internal links not translating correctly from German to English on their website. The links on buttons created with Elementor were not automatically adjusting to the translated page URLs, causing the links to remain in German on the English version of the site.
Solution: We recommended the client to: 1. Verify the WordPress and Site Address (URL) in the admin area under Settings > General. 2. Check the wp-config.php file for any custom code that sets the site URL. 3. Create a minimal environment by deactivating all plugins except WPML and Elementor, and switching to a standard WordPress theme. We also emphasized the importance of backing up the database and website before proceeding.
After these steps did not resolve the issue, we discovered that the option "Adjust IDs for multilingual functionality" in WPML > Languages was disabled. We enabled this option and re-translated the page, which resolved the issue and the internal URLs were adjusted automatically on the translation page.
