Divi author Bio not showing translation

This may be included in a recent Divi udpate. I tested in the version I was using and it had not yet been resolved. Please try this:

$author = get_userdata( $post->post_author );\

if (class_exists('sitepress')) {
    $author->description = get_the_author_meta('description' ,$author->ID);
}
