Problem: The client was experiencing issues with outdated translations on their website, problems with image translations causing images not to load or display correctly, and a carousel that worked in German but not in English. Additionally, the FAQ translation was inconsistent. Solution: We adjusted the WPML settings for custom fields from 'Translate' to 'Copy' for settings-related fields to prevent unnecessary translation within the WPML Translation Editor. We also increased the WP MEMORY LIMIT from 256 MB to 384M to accommodate the site's requirements. The client was advised to edit the original pages, save them, and then update the translations. For the untranslated contact form, we recommended using the guide at https://wpml.org/documentation/related-projects/using-contact-form-7-with-wpml/#translate-contact-form-7-wpml. Regarding the Elementor Custom Widget 'Accordion' issue, we suggested downloading the WPML 4.9 beta, which includes a feature to help translate custom Elementor widgets, from https://wpml.org/download/wpml-multilingual-cms/?section=changelog.
If these steps do not resolve the issues, or if the solution seems outdated or not applicable to your case, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If further assistance is needed, please open a new support ticket at WPML support forum.
