Problem: The client reported that their website, which is 100% translated, stopped showing translations. They provided a sample page and a snippet of code related to a button that was displaying in Hebrew instead of Arabic, despite the string translation being correctly set in WPML.
Solution: We recommended the following steps: 1. Navigate to WPML > Theme and Plugins Localization. 2. Enable the option "Automatically load the theme's .mo file using 'load_textdomain'". 3. In the "Enter textdomain:" field, add the
"default"
textdomain and enable the option "Use theme or plugin text domains when gettext calls do not use a string literal". Save the changes. 4. Clear the site and browser caches and check the page again. 5. If the issue persists, go to WPML > Support > Troubleshooting, find "Show custom MO Files Pre-generation dialog box" and click on it. 6. After the page reloads and a popup appears, click on the "Generate MO Files" button and wait for the process to finish.
