Overview of the issue
In Divi 4, it was possible to edit a theme builder layout, switch to a secondary language, and manually create a different version for that language. This allowed users to build language-specific theme builder layout content directly in Divi.
With Divi 5, this manual workflow is no longer available. Theme builder layouts created in Divi Theme Builder should be translated using WPML’s standard translation workflow instead, which doesn’t allow having different layouts per language.
Workaround
You can create a Divi layout in (Divi → Layouts) and use it in your Divi theme builder layout (Divi → Theme Builder). This allows you to translate the Divi layout manually and have a language-specific theme builder layout.
Hello. I’m building my first Divi 5 / WPML website and I can’t seem to get this workaround to work so that my Theme Builder elements are translated into the selected language.
I created a header element in my Divi Library (in the default language). I then translated this header using the WPML translation module.
But I don’t know how to use this element in the Theme Builder so that Divi recognises it as a header and uses the correct language.
I don’t know how to follow this instruction: “use it in your Divi Theme Builder layout (Divi → Theme Builder).”
Can you help me?
