Problème:
Le client avait un code personnalisé dans les fichiers PHP de son thème.
Solution:
La fonction esc_html_e() était utilisée correctement (voir la documentation WordPress plus bas).
- Allez dans "WPML > Localisation du thème et des plugins"
- Rescannez le thème ou le plugin qui contient ce code
- Allez dans "WPML > Traduction de chaînes" et cherchez les textes à traduire.
Problème:
Le client utilise une animation "animated headline" qui fonctionne seulement sur la lague par défaut mais pas sur la traduction.
Solution:
- En inspectant le code, on voit que l'animation et le Javascript utilisé sont bien présents sur la traduction, ce qui manque est le CSS correspondant.
- Le client n'a pas précisé comment le problème a été résolu mais c'était surement dû à un plugin d'optimisation (minified CSS) ou cache. Purger ces plugins semble avori résolu le problème.
Problem: The client is experiencing issues with a large number of strings (almost 3000) appearing after scanning two plugins for translation with WPML. The client wants to translate only front-end strings and avoid translating unnecessary strings, such as admin/dashboard strings, to save on translation costs. Additionally, the client encountered a problem where the translation page remains blank after sending strings to the translation basket.
Solution: 1. To remove untranslated strings in bulk for a chosen domain, we recommend following this guide: Deleting Strings documentation.
2. To capture only the strings that appear on the front-end, use the "Look for strings while pages are rendered" option. Activate this option and visit the front-end pages where the desired strings are displayed. If this method does not capture the strings due to the way they are added to the plugin, a scan may be required. We suggest manually searching for and translating the specific meta data and button texts within String Translation, as these typically amount to only 10-20 strings.
3. If the translation editor is stuck, it may be due to a 1MB limit on the translation job. To resolve this, cancel the translation job by following the steps in this guide: How to Cancel Translation Jobs.
