The client is experiencing issues with the WPML plugin on their WordPress site, specifically with translating ACF Gutenberg blocks into German. The auto-translate feature inconsistently translates certain headings and the link field text within many blocks remains untranslated.
Solution:
We recommend the following steps to address the translation issues:
1. Change the field group mode to

, to avoid conflicts and ensure visibility in the Advanced Translation Editor.
3. Make a minor edit to the post (like altering the post title or content), save it, and then update the translation post.
4. If these steps do not resolve the issue, consider using a staging site to perform these changes without affecting the live site.

Problem:
The client was unable to select the language when editing the account in the admin panel on the staging version of their website. The local version did not have this issue, and the configuration was the same. The admin panel was displayed in both English and Polish, despite Polish being the intended language.

Solution:
First, we recommended that the client make a backup before proceeding with any troubleshooting steps. We then suggested the following steps:

1) Update all WPML plugins to the latest version.
2) Check if the issue persists when only WPML plugins are activated and all other plugins are disabled.
3) Switch to the WP default theme to see if the issue still occurs.
4) Go to WPML > Support > Troubleshooting and run the following clean-up operations:

• Clear the cache in WPML
• Remove ghost entries
• Fix element_type collation
• Set language information
• Fix post type assignment

Next, we asked the client to ensure that the folder ".../public_html/site/app/languages" had writable permissions set on the server, which might require contacting their hosting provider.

Lastly, we noticed that the client was using an outdated version of WordPress and recommended updating to the latest version.

The issue was resolved after the WPML plugin update.
