We’re thrilled to announce a major update to WPML AI, our automatic translation engine. This release brings new language pairs, improvements to the German translations, and other enhancements.
In August, we announced WPML AI, our revolutionary translation engine. Now, it’s taking a new step forward thanks to your valuable feedback, with more features coming soon.
More Language Pairs Available
We know how important it is to support a wide range of languages for your multilingual websites.
With this update, WPML AI now lets you translate from supported languages into English, and not only the other way around.
Supported languages include Spanish, French, German, Italian, and Portuguese.
Improved German Translations
German is a challenging language for translation tools, and in WPML AI’s initial version, some translations fell short of our high standards. Thanks to your detailed reports and our team’s rigorous testing, we’ve completely revamped German translations.
The result? German translations that are now highly accurate and contextually appropriate. We’re confident you’ll notice the difference immediately.
More Languages Are Coming Soon
We’re always listening to your feedback, and we know many of you have been waiting for more languages. We’re excited to announce that the next batch of supported languages is in the final stages of testing.
This upcoming update will allow translating from English to:
- Dutch
- Arabic
- Hebrew
- Japanese
- Russian
- Greek
- Chinese Simplified
- Turkish
We’re taking the time to make sure these language pairs meet WPML AI’s high quality standards, so stay tuned—they’re coming soon!
Not Using WPML AI? Get Started Easy!
If you’re not already taking advantage of WPML AI, now is the perfect time to start.
Go to WPML → Translation Management and click the Tools tab. There, expand the Automatic translation engines section and drag the WPML AI (beta) engine to the top.
It’s that simple! Your site will now use the WPML AI engine for supported languages.
Your Feedback Makes an Impact
We couldn’t have achieved these improvements without the thoughtful feedback you’ve shared.
Here’s a list of top issues you helped us fix in the past few months:
- Resolved issues with broken paragraphs and line breaks on translated pages
- Fixed problems with emojis not rendering correctly in translations
- Improved segmentation to prevent entire page content from appearing as a single segment
- Corrected issues with broken paragraphs when using larger segments for translation
Your input doesn’t just help us identify issues—it helps us prioritize and deliver solutions that matter most to you.
As always, we’d love to hear your thoughts. Leave us a comment below and we’ll reply!
