Overview of the issue

If you are using the Bricks theme and the Advanced Translation Editor (ATE), you may encounter that some translations do not display on the frontend.

Workaround

Please, make sure of having a full site backup of your site before proceeding.

  • Open …/wp-content/themes/bricks/includes/ajax.php file.
  • Look for line 1233.
  • Replace:
    if ( $is_bricks_postmeta && ! Capabilities::current_user_can_use_builder( $object_id ) ) {
    	return false;
    }

  • With:
    if ( $is_bricks_postmeta && ! Capabilities::current_user_can_use_builder( $object_id ) ) {

    	// WPML Workaround for compsupp-7377
    	if ( class_exists("Sitepress") ) {
    		return $check;
    	}

    	return false;
    }
