Troubleshooting Checklist

Everything is Up to Date

To confirm WordPress, plugins, and your theme are up to date, go to Dashboard Updates and check for any new versions. 

Website Meets Minimum Requirements

In order for your website to run smoothly, it must have the following minimum resources:

  • PHP memory limit of 128M
  • WP memory limit of 128M

To check your PHP and WP memory limits, go to Tools Site Health and switch to the Info tab. Then, expand the Server and WordPress Constants sections.

Theme and Plugins are Compatible

Your website may experience issues if you’re using a theme or plugin that doesn’t work with WPML. To check if your theme and plugins are WPML-compatible, look them up in our compatibility directories: 

Get Help From Support 

If none of the solutions previously covered solve your issue, please go to our Support forum. From here, you can search for existing solutions related to your issue, or create a new ticket to get help from our support team. 

To resolve your ticket faster, make sure to:

  • Explain your issue in as much detail as possible
  • Record a screencast of the issue (if possible)

Based on the complexity of your issue, our supporters may ask for additional information, like your site’s debug info. Or, a copy of your site to find a solution in a testing environment.
