We advised the client to set the translation preference for each ACF Field Group to "Same fields across languages" before starting any translations. After adjusting these settings, the client needed to make a small edit to one of the ACF fields on each original page using ACF fields to trigger the translation process again. This step was necessary to ensure that the fields would be translated correctly.
