Background of the issue:
I want to be able to create my own language nav on this page: link oculto and its translated pages. The link that I have in my HTML is somehow overridden, so that the link leads back to the same page I started from.

Symptoms:
The links in my HTML are not the same as the links shown when I inspect the rendered page.

Questions:
How do I override what seems to be a WPML function of not honoring links directed to a different language?
