Language switcher doesn't appear in FSE Wordpress site

christopheH-4	Background of the issue: I'm trying to add the language switcher (as flag only) to the primary-menu on my child-theme of TwentyTwentyThree. Settings are in FSE. When I go to Appearance > Edition > Navigation, I can see the language switcher as text in the right side preview zone. Symptoms: The end-user doesn’t see the language switcher at all. In the console, there’s nothing in the code. Questions: Why doesn't the language switcher appear for the end-user? Is there a specific step I am missing in the FSE settings to display the language switcher?

Background of the issue:
