We are working on our staging environment and need help correcting the translation source language for all existing French pages. Our developer set EN CA as the new primary language on staging. New content correctly uses EN CA as the translation source, but previously translated content continues to pull from EN US. We want all French translations on the staging site to pull from EN CA, but we want the live site to remain unchanged.
Symptoms:
Existing translations do not change their source language when the site default changes. We need to update the translation parent for all existing French pages so they use EN CA instead of EN US.
Questions:
How can we reassign all French pages and products on the staging site so their translation source is EN CA, not EN US?
Is it possible to bulk update this through a backend script or the 'reset translation source' option?
Can this change be ensured to affect only the staging site and not the live site?
Can this be done without using translation credits?
