Problem: My Footer in Astra / Elementor has strings from Mailerlite newsletter signup form. I managed to have them scanned by adding the plugin to the XML config section.
Now though, after the original English text was changed, it won't update in the string translation panel. The old English text is there, and the translation is not shown.
Solution: I searched in our forum about similar tickets and it seems Mailster plugin is not compatible with WPML, however I found a workaround for this issue: I created a test form that will act as the French form (for testing purposes only) and as I don't know Mailster I just leaved with the text by default. Then I edited the footer and manually switched languages using the admin menu at the top, which allowed me to edit the French version of the Footer. Once in the French version I manually added the shortcode for the new form and saved the changes.
Problem: You are receiving an error stating 'REST API is disabled, blocking some features of WPML' despite having the REST API enabled and installing the latest version of WPML. Solution: We have identified this issue as a false positive, meaning the error appears even though the REST API is functioning correctly in your environment. 3. The oldest version you are able to download from that link is "3.8.3". After that, I recommend that you update to each new major version (3.9, 4.0, 4.1, 4.2 and 4.3).
You can also try to create a full website backup first and then update to the latest version and see what happens - it there's gonna be serious errors and not simple notifications, then please update gradually.

The client noticed a very high level of request made by WPML resulting in lot of data loaded in wp_options from icl_sitepress_settings (337580)
Solution:
The tabel row icl_sitepress_settings on wp_options keeps important information about settings and translations. It is not recommended to delete any values.
