Problem: The client was experiencing an issue where the language switcher disappeared from the main menu, and the WPML Advanced Translation Editor Error Logs indicated an 'ATE Server Communication Unable to authenticate' error starting from January 9, 2025. Solution: We advised the client to perform a full backup and then share their WP admin access. After checking, we found that the site needed to be re-registered on https://wpml.org/account/sites/. The client removed the old registration, created a new one, and shared the new site key. Upon further investigation, we discovered that the translation ID was missing, which was preventing the use of the Advanced Translation Editor. We escalated the issue for further support. Then, to fix this, we switched the Translation Editor from Advanced Translation Editor to Classic Translation Editor and then back to Advanced Translation Editor
