Problem: The client is trying to migrate content from the Classic Translation Editor (CTE) to the Advanced Translation Editor (ATE) in WPML without losing existing translations.
Solution: We explained that in WPML, there is no direct migration from CTE to ATE. When switching from CTE to ATE via WPML -> Settings, existing translations remain in the database but are not recognized by ATE. Thus, when editing with ATE, the translation fields will appear empty. The client needs to: 1. Switch to ATE from WPML -> Settings. 2. Manually translate the content again using ATE or utilize automatic translation. Once content is translated in ATE, it benefits from Translation Memory, which helps in tracking and syncing subsequent updates.
