As not long ago WooCommerce 2.2 was released, we wrapped up all the things that needed to be adjusted in WooCommerce Multilingual and several other fixes and give you version 3.3.3.

Language files no longer included in WooCommerce

One of the main aspects in the new WooCommerce version is the fact that the plugin does not come with the translations for its strings (.mo files) built in, but relies on the abilities of WordPress to download the translations as needed via the translation API added in version 4.0.

On  a multilingual e-commerce site built with WooCommerce and WooCommerce Multilingual you don’t use only one language like a simple/regular WordPress install – you need the translations in all the active languages so we added this possibility in WooCommerce Multilingual 3.3.3.

Other fixes

We also took care of other smaller things that people reported on our support forum. Some of these:

  • The base currency format was ignored after adding additional currency
  • Shipping class names were displayed wrong on the WooCommerce settings page when switching the admin language
  • WooCommerce native interface for products editing didn’t copy the prices for variations.

Download or upgrade

You can get WooCommerce Multilingual 3.3.3 from the WordPress plugins directory and you are welcome to add and we’d love to hear your feedback here on any problems you may have on our support forum.

  1. Many issues with this version 🙁

After Update, Categories are correctly translated but woocommerce mulltilingual consider those translations as not translated !

    Compare Woocommerce /products/categories with wpml/woocommerce multilingual/categories (/wp-admin/admin.php?page=wpml-wcml&tab=product_cat)

Woocommerce multilingual should show categories as translated !!

This cause many issues with permalinks, menus and widgets.
