Overview of the Issue
When using BuddyBoss with WPML, editing a group’s title or description from the profile page in a secondary language saves the changes as if they were in the default language. This causes language data to be overwritten incorrectly.
Workaround
This issue is fixed in Buddypress Multilingual 1.9.0. Updating solves it on your site, so you only need this workaround if you can’t update yet.
Do not edit a group in a secondary language from the frontend.
To edit the group title or description in a secondary language:
- Go to WPMLTranslation Management and send the group string package for translation.
- Alternatively, you can edit the translation in WPMLString Translation.
