BuddyPress | BuddyBoss – Groups, Members and Activity Pages Links Not Working with “Display as Translatable” Mode

Overview of the Issue

An issue has been identified using BuddyPress and BuddyBoss plugins where Groups, Members, and Activity pages links are not correct if you also using the Display as Translated mode for pages in WPMLSettings. Instead, these links redirect back to the page itself.

Workaround

This issue is fixed in BuddyPress Multilingual 1.8.0. Updating solves it on your site, so you only need this workaround if you can’t update yet.

Do not use the Display as translated mode for pages with BuddyPress or BuddyBoss

  • Go to WPMLSettingsPost Types Translation page.
  • Select your pages as Translatable – only show translated items
