Reported for: WPML Multilingual CMS 4.8.6
Overview of the issue
When using Divi 5 and inserting global variables, the values do not appear correctly in WPML’s Advanced Translation Editor (ATE). Instead of showing the expected translatable content, you will see a placeholder like:
$variable({"type":"content","value":{"name":"gvid-kxg40sej01","settings":{}}})$
Workaround
This issue will be fully resolved in WPML 4.9, which will include support for Divi 5 global variables.
Do you know when is 4.9 is to be expected?
Hello Desha,
We just released our WPML 4.9 beta. Our plans is to release WPML 4.9 in early 2026, but it totally depends on our devs roadmap.
