Background of the issue:
I am trying to ensure that the word count in WPML's Translation Management includes ACF fields attached to the post. I have set the relevant fields to 'translate', and they are being translated.

Symptoms:
The word count is not including the ACF fields, which prevents me from knowing how many credits will be used.

Questions:
Am I missing something regarding the word count not including ACF fields?
