1. We advised the client to navigate to WPML > String Translation and click on the 'translate texts in admin screens' link at the bottom of the page.

3. Add the string to String Translation if it's not already there, then translate it directly from the WPML > String Translation page.
4. If the string is already registered by the plugin, it should be available for translation on the main WPML > String Translation page.
5. After adding and translating the string, the correct German translation should appear.

1. Ensure that the WPML settings are configured to use the Classic Translator Editor, as the Advanced Translator Editor does not display translations done via XLIFF.
2. If the translation jobs are still in progress (indicated by a spinning wheel icon), go to WPML --> Translation Management --> Jobs, cancel the ongoing jobs for the page, resend the page for translation, and re-import the XLIFF file.
3. Check if the theme and WPML plugins are up-to-date, as outdated versions can cause issues with displaying translations.
4. If the issue persists after following these steps, we might need to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to the site to further diagnose the problem.
