Problem:
The client wants to use different images per language on a WooCommerce product page and is looking for a way to bulk-uncheck checkboxes for all products to facilitate this process.
Solution:
We recommend using the WPML > Media Translation to manage different images per language effectively. Here's a step-by-step guide on how to do it:
1. Add the image to the original product and mark the duplication options for the featured image and other media attachments.
2. Duplicate the product with WPML, then set the translated product as "Translate independently".
3. Go to WPML > Media Translation and replace the images with alternative versions.
4. After uploading the alternative media file at WPML > Media Translation, run the dialog that appears to replace the media in existing posts.
For the issue with bulk unchecking checkboxes, currently, you need to set them individually on each existing content. However, you can globally disable those boxes for any newly created content at WPML > Settings > Media Translation. More details can be found here: WPML Media Translation FAQ
