Top domains vs directories

Additionally, we discovered that the site was incorrectly installed in a subdirectory, which caused issues with the URL structure. We recommended moving the WordPress installation to the main directory and ensuring that the site settings in WordPress Permalinks do not include unnecessary subdirectories like "/en". After making these adjustments and clearing the cache, the issue with the URLs was resolved.

Problem:
The client wants to implement a country selector in the header of their site, similar to another site, to show the country name and corresponding currency. They are facing issues with displaying prices inclusive of taxes with different tax rates for different countries.
Solution:
We recommend two potential solutions:
1. Display the products exclusive of tax. This is the easiest solution.
2. Increase the price for the US currency by 25% when editing the product in the backend. For example, instead of entering $59, enter $73.75. This way, when viewed with a shipping address in the US, it will display as $59. If USD is allowed for other countries, then it should display as $73.35, which includes the 25% tax.

This approach ensures that the price inclusive of tax is adjusted correctly based on the shipping address, which determines the applicable tax rate.

Woocommerce URL structure 1 2

Problem:
You are trying to maintain a consistent URL structure between your main site and the translated version using WPML. On your main site, the URL is site.com/watch-straps/nato, but on the translated site, it changes to site.com/sv/produkt-kategori/klockarmband/nato-sv/.
Solution:
This issue is recognized as a known problem related to the Rank Math SEO plugin where turning on 'Strip Category Base' causes issues with secondary languages. We are currently working on a fix for this. In the meantime, we recommend not translating the category, product, or product-category slugs.
