Problem: If you've recently switched from RankMath to SEOPress and are finding that the strings from SEOPress don't appear in the Advanced Translation Editor (ATE) for old articles, while new articles work fine.
Solution: For old articles that were built with RankMath, you need to manually edit each article to add SEOPress data. Once you've added the SEOPress data: 1. Save the article. 2. The SEOPress strings should then appear in ATE. 3. You can proceed with translating the meta title and description either manually or automatically. Problem: The client is experiencing an issue where automatic translations with DeepL are defaulting to Portuguese from Portugal (PT-PT) instead of Brazilian Portuguese (PT-BR) when translating content. Solution: We have implemented a fix in our systems to address this issue. We recommend that the client updates to the latest version of WPML to resolve the problem with DeepL translations. After updating, the client should be able to translate to Portuguese - BR without the translations defaulting to Portuguese - PT.
Problem: The client was experiencing an issue where articles that were translated to 100% were not being displayed on their website. Solution: If you're experiencing a similar issue where your translations are not showing after being saved, we recommend trying the following steps: 1. Add your translator account to the WPML -> Translators list to allow manual editing of the translation. 2. Switch the translation mode to manual in WPML -> Settings. 3. Open the post for editing in the default language. 4. Make a minor edit to the content, such as adding a couple of dots, and update the post to trigger the translation status. 5. Manually update the translation in the Advanced Translation Editor (ATE) and click the "Complete" button. 6. Remove the minor edits from the original content and repeat the previous step. After completing these steps, the translation should be visible. Remember to switch back to Automatic Translation after reviewing the changes.
