We just released WPML 4.7.1, an update that fixes several bugs. However, if your site has 29 or more languages, you should wait for WPML 4.7.2, which we plan to release soon.

What’s Included in WPML 4.7.1

This update includes fixes for:

If Your Site Has Many Languages, Wait for WPML 4.7.2

While WPML 4.7.1 includes important fixes, it does not resolve an issue affecting sites with 29 or more languages. On these sites, the Translation Management Dashboard will not load.

We’re actively working on a fix, and WPML 4.7.2 will be released soon to resolve this issue.

WPML 4.7.1 Is a Limited Rollout

We are gradually releasing WPML 4.7.1 to a small percentage of sites. This update is not being automatically pushed to all sites because it does not yet include a fix for the issue affecting large multilingual sites.

If WPML 4.7.1 fixes an issue you’re experiencing, you can update manually from your WordPress dashboard. Otherwise, we recommend waiting for WPML 4.7.2.

  1. Hi Kathy – thanks for this post.
Is there any chance to get such posts directly to my inbox (newsletter)?

    That would be super helpful.

    Best,
    Michael

    • Hi Michael,

Thanks for your comment! We always send newsletters about our bigger, more significant releases—do you currently receive those? We also post about all of our updates on Facebook and X, so feel free to follow us there to stay in the loop!

For this update, we didn’t send an email since it rolled out to a small number of sites, and we wanted to avoid unnecessary disruptions for our clients. That said, I appreciate your feedback, and I’ll bring it up with our team.

      • Hi Kathy

No, I am probably not receiving those “big update” newsletters. How can I check/verify that?
I do not use Facebook nor X at all, so this is a bit unfortunate.

For which date is the next big WPML update planned?

        • Hi Michael,
On February 27th, we released WPML 4.7, which was a major update. We sent an email about it to all WPML clients, so you should have received it at the email address registered with your WPML account.

If you didn’t see it, one possibility is that you may have unsubscribed from WPML emails in the past, which could explain why you’re not receiving these updates.

WPML 4.7 is our latest major release, and we’ll be rolling out WPML 4.7.2 soon, which will include some fixes.

    • Please go to your WordPress site and follow these steps:

      3. Go to the Commercial tab
      4. Click Check for updates
Watch the table with plugin version on that screen. It will show you the existing version and the latest version.
If you have something to update, please use the first column to select the plugins and click Update/Download button.
