We have a problem with the correct translation of our client website. We work with a translation agency and export XLIFF 1.2 files, get the translated files back and import them again. The source language is German and we translate into English, Spanish and Portuguese (Brazil). Initially, we only exported the start page, had it translated and then imported it again, which worked perfectly. Then we got the remaining pages back in one file per language and imported them. From this point on, there was a lot of chaos with the languages. The menu disappeared for English and Portuguese, English pages contained Spanish text, etc. The pages were a mixture of several languages. We cancelled the translation jobs and re-exported the files, but when we imported the translated files we received an error message saying "Translation job 191 is not yours", which meant we could no longer import the file. In the end, we deleted all translations, cleared the WPML cache, etc., so that we only had German left. We then re-exported the files again and sent them to our translators. Although we did all this, the source language in the files is a mixture of several languages (it should only be German).
