Background of the issue:
I am trying to use the classic editor on posts and pages that have been created in the past. When using the Advanced Translation Editor on those, all translations seem to be gone. Link to a page where the issue can be seen: enlace oculto. I expected to see that when I activate 'Advanced Translation Editor' under WPML settings and leave 'Use also for old translations created with the classic editor' unticked, the ATE would not open and translations would not be empty.
Symptoms:
Translations made in the Classic editor are gone when opening in the ATE. Old translated content is not visible in the ATE. Attempting to use the classic editor for changes to existing texts and translations does not work when ATE is selected in the settings, even if the checkbox is off.
Questions:
Is it normal that translations made in the Classic editor are gone when opening in the ATE?
Can we not use the ATE for a new language if old translations are not visible?
Why doesn't using the classic editor for changes work when ATE is selected, even if the checkbox is off?
