Contexte de la question:
I am trying to translate a string on my checkout page created with Elementor using the checkout widget. The string 'Returning customer? Click here to login' is not being translated on the front end. I found the strings in string translation and translated them, but they are not reflecting on the site. I suspect Elementor is using different strings. I tried adding the missing fields as suggested in a forum topic: https://wpml.org/forums/topic/trying-to-translate-a-woocommerce-checkout-section/ with the following configuration: returning_customer_section_title returning_customer_link_text . However, this did not work.
Symptômes:
The translated strings are not appearing on the front end of the checkout page.
Questions:
Why are the translated strings not appearing on the front end?
Is Elementor using different strings for the checkout widget?

Hello,
Thank you for contacting WPML support team,
There could be another instance of the same string under a different domain, could you please go to WPML > String translation > At the bottom, check the box " Look for strings while pages are rendered" and then visit the shipping page where the string is displayed.
Now go back to string translation and check if another instance of this string is loaded.
If not, go to Translate texts in admin screens », and search for it there.

Hello,
I would like to ask for temporary access to your test site’s wp-admin and FTP to investigate the issue further.
It is important to note that you should back up your site and database before proceeding, and you can use a plugin like Duplicator for this purpose. Here’s a link to the plugin: http://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicator/

Hello,
The string is now translated : lien caché
It turns out the issue is actually related to an incompatibility with the Woocommerce Elementor Checkout widget,
I tweaked the XML a bit, you can see the change under WPML > Settings > Custom XML Configuration.
Then I added a small edit to the checkout page to let WPML load the new segment, then translated the checkout page directly with the translation editor.
I'm escalating this to our compatibility team to be included in the next XML version for Elementor,
Let me now if you have any questions,
