Background of the issue:
I am developing a site and using WPML for translations.

Symptoms:
I am concerned whether Google Translate will override WPML translations if a user selects Google Translate - English instead of the Spanish to English language switcher button.

Questions:
If someone chooses Google Translate - English instead of the Spanish to English language switcher button, will the Google translation override what's translated through WPML?
