Background of the issue:
I am working on a site under development and trying to configure the language switcher using WPML. I changed the settings in 'WPML Languages' > 'Menu language switcher'.

Symptoms:
The language switcher does not display correctly on the website despite changes made in the settings.

Questions:
Why does the language switcher not reflect the changes I made in the settings?
