Translated page doesn't display properly

Symptoms: After creating a Spanish version and completing the translations, the Spanish page seems to have an error and doesn't display properly, instead getting a WP error: 'There has been a critical error on this website.' Questions: Why would I get an error on the Spanish page but not the original English?

Background of the issue:
I created a Spanish version of our original page, which functions fine: lien caché. I expected to see a replicated translated version of lien caché.

Symptoms:
After creating a Spanish version and completing the translations, the Spanish page seems to have an error and doesn't display properly, instead getting a WP error: 'There has been a critical error on this website.'

Questions:
Why would I get an error on the Spanish page but not the original English?
