Background of the issue:
I am trying to automatically translate our 3rd website, lien caché, using WPML. We had around 30,000 credits left, which should have been enough based on our previous experience with a similar-sized site that used 16,000 credits. However, the setup wizard estimated 145,000 credits were needed, which seemed incorrect. We canceled the process at Step 4 and tried again with only one language, but the site hasn't been translated.
Symptoms:
Credits were deducted from our account despite the site not being translated. We are now at 0 credits remaining. The dashboard shows inconsistent credit usage numbers depending on the day and computer used. Currently, it shows 5,100 credits were used for simproject.eu.
Questions:
Why did the setup wizard estimate 145,000 credits for the translation?
Why were credits deducted even though the site wasn't translated?
Why does the dashboard show different credit usage numbers on different days and computers?
