Hi there!
Thanks for reaching out to WPML Support.
I'm Prosenjit from the WPML Development Team, and I'll be happy to help you resolve this issue. Before we proceed, I wanted to let you know that my French-speaking colleagues are currently unavailable, which is why I've picked up your ticket and am responding in English. I hope that's okay with you. If you'd prefer support in French, please let me know in your next response and we'll see what we can arrange.
Thank you for the detailed explanation. I understand the issue clearly.
From what I can see, you’re using the variation swatches provided by the Uncode theme to display different images when selecting product variations.
When variation images don’t appear correctly in translated products, the most common cause is that the attribute term field (where the swatch image is assigned under Products → Attributes) is not configured properly for translation. That specific field should be set to “Copy” in WPML > Settings, so the image value is copied to the translated terms automatically. Otherwise, the translated product won’t inherit the correct swatch image reference.
However, when I checked the translated product on your site and selected different variations, the image updated correctly according to the selected variation. It appears to be working as expected from my end.
For clarity, please take a look at this short video: lien caché
Since the images are updating correctly based on the selected variation, could you please confirm whether the issue is now resolved on your end?
If you’re still experiencing the problem, kindly share a bit more detail about the exact steps or scenario where it occurs. I’ll review it carefully and assist you in finding the right solution.
Thank you for your reply. It is still not working on my end.
Please take a look at this page: lien caché
In French, the variation images correctly show the nets in real-life settings (customer projects), in addition to the mesh images that change according to the colors (except for blue and yellow).
If you look at the same page in English: lien caché I do have the mesh images for the variations, but these are the ones I had in French before adding the new variation images showing the nets in situ (customer projects).
To summarize, the English, German, and Italian pages should have the exact same images as the French page.
Please find attached screenshots of both the French and English versions.
I’ve checked on my end, and you’re right — the Variation Gallery images are not appearing in the English version. Since you’re using the Variation Gallery feature from the Uncode theme, it’s possible that the array containing the image IDs is not being copied to the translation, which could be causing this behavior.
To properly investigate and resolve this for you, I’ll need access to the site. I’ve enabled the private reply option so you can securely share the credentials in your next response.
If possible, it would be ideal to provide access to a staging or development environment where the issue can be replicated. This allows us to investigate without affecting the live site, determine the exact cause, and then provide you with clear steps to apply the fix on your production site.
Please share the access details when ready, and let me know if you have any questions in the meantime. I’ll be happy to assist further.
Best regards,
Prosenjit
