I understand the issue you're experiencing. The extra icon with the language flag was not added by WPML. To investigate further, I created an account on your site, but when I logged in, I couldn't find the language switcher on the Dashboard. Please see this screenshot: link nascosto.
It’s possible that the language switcher has been removed from the sidebar. To figure out how the extra icon was added, please add the language switcher again, right-click on the icon, and use the Browser Developer Tools to inspect it. This will give you information on how the icon was added. You can refer to the link below for guidance on how to inspect elements using the Browser Developer Tools.

If you're unable to trace how the icon was added, please add the language switcher back to the sidebar. This will allow me to inspect it and provide suggestions on how to remove the extra icon.

Thank you for adding the language switcher to the menu.
I checked, and it looks like the BuddyBoss Platform plugin is adding the icon to the language swicther. Could you please review the settings in BuddyBoss Platform to see if there's an option enabled that adds an extra icon to the language switcher? You may also want to reach out to BuddyBoss support and ask them to check which setting could be responsible for adding that icon to the menu. I hope they can guide you better in this case.
For now, you can remove the icon by adding a simple CSS code. Please paste the following code into Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS or any other section where you add custom CSS on your site. This should remove the icon from the language switcher.
