Background of the issue:
I am trying to select text to apply the formatting markers but I am somehow not able to select specific texts. I can only select the sentence as a whole but I am not able to save it in that case. Please refer to the video: link nascosto. The issue can be seen on this page: link nascosto

Symptoms:
I expected to be able to select specific words and save according to the English formatting above, but I am unable to do so.

Questions:
Why can't I select specific texts to apply formatting markers?
How can I save the formatting after selecting specific words?
